September 25, 2024 02:22 pm

Netball fans, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is here! The KZN Netball Super League is about to wrap up its Section A and B games at the Umlazi Victoria Mxenge Indoor Centre this weekend, and we’re in for a treat!

Section A: Ziphozonke's Reign Continues

The reigning champs, Ziphozonke, have already shown they’re a force to be reckoned with. They’ve been unstoppable all season and are just one game away from officially being crowned champions. All that stands between them and an undefeated run is Mtuba Central, who will be looking to cause an upset. But with 27 points already secured, Ziphozonke will be hard to beat!

Meanwhile, BSS Netball is sitting in second place with 22 points. They need a strong win against the PMB Giants to lock in their spot in the top four. The Cheetahs, with 21 points, are right behind them and will be fighting to keep their top position as they face Pongolo M. Queens. The Ham SunBeams (17 points) will also be battling for a top-four finish against Umhlathuze Eagles. Every match counts this weekend!

Section B: Harry Gwala Cubs Dominating

Over in Section B, Harry Gwala Cubs have made sure everyone knows they mean business. With 31 points and an amazing season so far, they’re already preparing to take their place in Section A next year. Their last match against the PMB Sprinters is more of a formality than a challenge, but the Cubs will want to finish strong.

The rest of Section B is still in the mix for the remaining top spots. KNC, with 25 points, is up against the Ulundi Movers, while the eDumbe Thunderbirds (23 points) and Pinetown Eagles (20 points) face each other in a winner-takes-all clash for to secure their spot in the log.

With so much on the line, this weekend is set to bring all the excitement, action, and nail-biting moments we love in netball. Join us at the Victoria Mxenge Indoor Centre this Saturday, 28th September, and find out!
